Ole Miss

The University of Mississippi, better known as Ole Miss, is known for its record setting history. In 1844 the university opened its doors to 80 students and for 23 years it was Mississippi's only public institution for higher learning. The school has grown to an 18,000 student base. The achievements that make the history of this school so unique begin with it being the fourth state supported law school in the nation, one of the first schools in the nation to offer engineering as a major, and was one of the first in the South to admit women!! The "Mississippi flood" is what the fans use when they are referring to all of the schools sports teams. And Ole Miss's mascot is none other than the rebels. Ole Miss is a huge Greek school, meaning they take a lot of pride in their Fraternities and Sororities, so they have a massive fan base to support them at athletic events! The team that Ole Miss likes to defeat the most? Their rivals, the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the LSU tigers!! Judith March offers several dresses with Ole Miss colors that are perfect for tailgating and even for the "Greek girls" who need dresses for other events!
