Oklahoma University

The University of Oklahoma, home of the Sooners, is located in the little town of Norman, Oklahoma where the school has made the town prosper to a population of 103,000! Finding a nickname and mascot was a hard task for the fans of the University of Oklahoma, so they stuck with a word that was linked to the history of the state. The Sooners is a unique name that is only found The University of Oklahoma. Being a part of the Crimson and Cream means being a part of a history that dates back to the Civil War era! These fans have banned together to cheer for their Sooners since 1892, when the University's first president, David Ross Boyd, arrived. Today there are almost 31,000 students that support the team at tailgates and games. Judith March has many great dresses that incorporate the colors of the University of Oklahoma that will help celebrate the fun traditions that are held at the school! The Sooners have the bragging rights of 26 national championships in men's and women's sports, 240 team conference championships, and over 800 All-American athletes!
